    We are currently looking for an Allocator to join our Tribe!

    Responsibilities

    The Merchandise Allocator is the “protector of stores”. This is a vital role within the organization. The Merchandise Allocator’s role is to drive and maximize sales and margin through effective allocation of merchandise to Retail Stores and ECOM.  They will monitor store level inventories thru the proper flow of receipts into the stores.  They will partner with Merchandising, Merchandise Planning and the ECOM Planning team to ensure that in stock, inventory productivity and assortment business goals are met.

    • Determine Store Rankings based upon bottoms up preseason sales plans
    • Conduct periodic reviews of the following to ensure that buy quantities and stock levels meet current sales trends:
      • Store rankings and indices
      • Stock replenishment items and quantities by store
      • Size selling by store; recommend size buys
    • Develop monthly assortment files and allocation strategies
    • Conduct monthly allocation strategy meetings with merchant and planner, get buy in and execute the allocation strategy in order to effectively maximize the ability of each store to generate sales and margin and maintain the appropriate stock to sales ratios.
    • Analyze sales and inventory trends at the store level; ensure allocation of receipts results in maximum performance by store; ensure that stores are kept in stock with respect to their ability to sell merchandise; partner with planners and merchants on findings and action plans
    • Analyze performance of new stores; communicate findings; make adjustments based on findings
    • Manage the basic stock replenishment programs within the parameters of the company’s target inventory productivity metrics
    • Perform pre-season, in season and post-season analysis to identify future opportunities to maximize sales and margin for stores
    • Develop specific reports to support the business and complete adhoc reporting as needed to drive or react to current or future business conditions
    • Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job.

    Qualifications

    Education:          

    Bachelor's degree required

     

    Experience:       

    2 years of prior retail experience as an Allocator preferred but not required.  Store-line work experience a plus.

                                    

    Skills:                    

    Strong analytical and financial skills.

    Demonstrated knowledge of industry practices and current trends
